- To treat your dog’s eye with yellowish discharge, you need to pour 1 cup of boiling water over a 1/4 teaspoon of golden seal powder. Then, add 1/4 teaspoon of salt and let the solution steep for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, strain the liquid and pour the solution into a sterile bottle or glass container and avoid contamination. The solution can be applied to the affected eye to clear it from discharge.
